COVID-19 Precautions

At Pentecost, Glenn & Mauldin we are taking steps to protect our client’s health, as well as that of our staff during this difficult time. Our firm is committed to making sure that your real estate transaction gets completed during the COVID-19 pandemic. To do so, we have taken the following steps:

We will comprehensively clean our conference rooms before every closing;

We will ask all parties to a closing to wash their hands prior to entering the conference room;

We will only allow the actual parties to each closing inside the conference room;

We will not have sellers and buyers together in the same conference room;

For any client that so requests and within Madison County, we will not charge a fee to have their part of the closing conducted outside of the office;

For clients outside of Madison County who so request, we will either come to them for a reasonable fee or cause a mobile notary company to meet them to have their documents signed outside the office at the Mobile Notary’s normal rates;

For any customers who are sick, exhibit a fever or any respiratory symptoms or have family members who are sick or exhibiting symptoms, we will conduct their part of the closing in an offsite location;

If any customers have coronavirus, have any family member with coronavirus, have traveled outside the country recently or have been exposed to someone who has the virus – we will postpone the closing until the party’s health has been cleared;

We will not reuse closing pens.  Each party will keep the pen they use at closing; and,

We will ask our loan officer and realtor business partners to attend closing by teleconference or videoconference rather than in person.

Also, PG&M is set up to electronically record real estate documents with the local register’s office while that office remains closed to in-person deliveries. for risk. If you have any questions about this process, please feel to contact us at 731.668.5995.
